We received the Greenworks reel lawn mower in four days. Unpacking and assembly were a piece of cake. The only assembly required with the Greenworks push reel lawn mower was a very simple to handle assembly.

There are only eight total nuts and bolts to fasten the handle to the mower, and you are ready to attack the lawn in literally about five minutes.

Greenworks 25062 Reel Lawn Mower – Easy to Use & No Carbon Footprint

The Greenworks 25062 reel lawn mower is a breeze to use. It is very easy to push, and unlike most reel lawn mowers, the Greenworks reel lawn mower has four wheels.

The larger, ten-inch front wheels run the 4 blade grass cutting reel, and the additional two six-inch wheels on the back provide stability over uneven ground and ease of maneuvering.

The grass cutting height adjustment is easy to use; no more than adjusting a lever on the mower. And you can set the cutting height from 1 ¾ inch to a high of 2 ¾ inches.

The 4-blade cutting reel is flame tempered steel that is bearing mounted between the front wheels; it operates smoothly and quietly, and the expected blade life is 4 years before any sharpening is needed.

It has an 18-inch cutting path, which is more than enough for most small to medium-sized lawns; so you can complete the job without having to make multiple passes.

And the included grass catcher actually works remarkably well. With most grass catchers on these reel lawn mowers, they usually have mounting problems, so that they drag across the ground; or they don’t really catch the grass as most of the cut grass shoots over the back of the catcher.

With the Greenworks 25062 reel mower, it has very strong side attachments that do not work loose; and by adjusting the strap that attaches to the handle assembly, this grass catcher stays above the ground and actually catches most of the grass.

Since the Greenworks 25062 reel mower has sealed bearings, there is almost no maintenance with this mower whatsoever. A little WD-40 on the reels maybe twice a season, and you’re ready to go.

And it’s one of the easiest ways to go “green” that you can. Forget about changing the oil or heading to the gas station every summer. You simply take the Greenworks 25062 out of the garage, and it’s ready to go.

Greenworks 25062 Reel Lawn Mower – 2 Minor Problems

This is a really efficient mower when it comes to cutting grass. But you have to make sure that you keep your grass fairly short.

Like any push reel lawn mower (or even any gas mower), the longer you let the grass go, the harder it is going to be to push.

And the handle on the Greenworks 25062 is perfect for me as I am six foot two, but it is a little too tall for my ten-year-old to push. While I don’t have to stoop over to cut the grass, I also cannot delegate a summer chore to my younger sons.

Otherwise, the Greenworks 25062 is a very efficient reel lawn mower; and the price cannot be beaten.

It is easy to push, easy to maintain, and ideal for smaller lawns. However, if you have a bigger lawn, you will get a real workout with this mower.
